Dr. Lawrence D. BergLawrence Berg is a social scientist with research interests in identity politics and place, the social geographies of disableism, the geographies of neoliberalism and its attendant marginalization of disadvantaged people, and the relationship between health and colonialism in present-day British Columbia. He is currently principal investigator or co-investigator on a number of SSHRC, CFI and Overseas grant-funded research projects focused on social geographies in British Columbia, Ireland and New Zealand. Lawrence's own experiences with a number of learning disabilities give him a keen interest in disability rights and in research on the disabling practices of Canadian society. |
